Human Resource and Information Technology

Human resource generally consists of Payroll, Learning & development, Recruitment, Benefits, Performance records etc.
Payroll does the pay process by gathering data like employee time and attendance, calculating deductions & taxes, and generating periodic pay cheques.
Learning & development administers and tracks employee training and development efforts. Courses are offered in date specific sessions and course materials are developed according to company requirement.
Benefits administers and tracks employee participation in benefits programs like insurance, retirement, compensation and stock savings.
Performance records administers the performance records of the employs like monthly one on ones, half yearly performance etc.
Recruitment generally deals with the hiring process.

Information Technology merges the above basic function into a system know as HRMS application(Human Resource Management System). It is also know as Human Resource Information System(HRIS). Each of the above functions are developed into different packages or modules.
